23 years ago, I had a traffic accident and have lived with paraplegia ever since. Every day, I rely on a wheelchair. Waking from the coma, I no longer understood the world. I was living in a shell I didn't recognize. This body could no longer do much on its own. I had lost control of myself. My body no longer responded to my commands. I felt helpless and hollow. I was not only physically, but also psychologically numb. As an expert in diversity and inclusion, I draw attention to the opportunities and possibilities that a world accessible to everyone brings. Equally important to me is the promotion of resilience, prevention, and safety in organizations, to create sustainable structures that protect and strengthen people and enable long-term success.
